Spin-out torque is the amount of force (typically measured in pounds or newtons) that can be applied to a bolt threaded into a rivet nut before the rivet nut begins to rotate within the hole.
A round-body rivet nut will spin more easily in a round hole, whereas a hex-body rivet nut installed in a hex hole provides greater resistance to spin-out.
