The SNAPLOC® fastener system works on a simple snap-fit principle. A male ball stud is screwed into the base material, and a female coupling is inserted into a special mounting within the second / different material. The two parts securely lock together with a push-fit connection and can be easily pulled apart for quick removal. A good visual to image is a boat hatch storage compartment, subject to high vibration, but in need of constant easy access, the Snaploc fastening system is a perfect solution for this application.
