The Huck® Bolt is the well-known brand name that is used to describe all generic lock bolt collar rivets. A Huck Bolt or Lock Bolt works by using a grooved pin with a collar, the collar is permanently swaged into grooves on the pin. Instead of relying on interlocking threads of a typical male bolt and female nut, the lock bolt installation process is considered a cold-forming method that permanently molds (locks) the collar into the grooves of the pin (bolt), thus the name "lock bolt". The cold-forming occurs via a special pneumatic hand tool that can be easily purchased throughout the marketplace, a simple and quick install method.
