Bollhoff offers two main product categories of threaded nut inserts for plastics: IMTEC® and AMTEC®. IMTEC® threaded inserts are designed for in-molding applications, meaning they are installed into the mold before the plastic is poured. They are well suited for use with thermoset plastics, thermoplastics, and composite materials. AMTEC® threaded inserts are intended for after-molding applications and are bonded into the plastic once the molding process is complete. They are ideal for thermoset plastics, thermoplastics, and reaction resin materials, including filled or foamed resins. Within each category, a wide range of insert types is available to meet specific application, material, and performance requirements.
