We do not offer the kits in stainless steel material, we offer the kits only in steel zinc plated material.
However, we are happy to sell a-la-carte any sort of fasteners or tooling that you need. We just have an order minimum to achieve.
The stainless steel version of these Plusnuts are SS25P500. Note: The SS is for stainless steel and the P is for “straight shank plusnut”, which is different from PB, which is “pre-bulbed shank plusnut”. The pre-bulbed are nice as they are already partially upset, the first 10% of the install is cold-headed into the fastener, which allows for disposable tooling to install the fastener. The pre-bulbed plusnuts are typically used in aftermarket automotive applications, like attaching a roof rack to your car. The tool included is typically disposable in nature to minimize the overall cost, so the pre-bulbed plusnuts are needed as they have the special benefit of already having the hardest first 10% of the install “preset” in the body.
If you are willing to make a bit more of an investment into your installation tooling, or are using large volume of fasteners in a production manufacturing environment, we typically recommend to use the straight shank version, and that is the only version that the stainless steel plusnuts are available.
